Summer Update 8/15/10

Letter from Pastor Carol:  Be sure to read the letter enclosed with this mailing.  There is a lot of pertinent information about the coming school year that you will want to be aware of.

Orientation Night:  As stated in the letter from Pastor Carol, we have made a change and are only having ONE Orientation night.  Orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 24, from 7:00 – 8:30 PM.  Please be sure to come, bring your student, let them find their locker, bring school supplies and reconnect with friends.  At Orientation you will go from station to station getting filled in with important information for the school year so you can come anytime within the one and a half hour time frame.  See you then!!!

School Supply Lists:  Your child(ren)’s class supply list is included with this mailing.  Feel free to call the office if you have any questions about anything on the list.

Spanish Headsets:  Students moving into 1^st grade and new students will need to purchase a headset for Spanish.  The cost for this is $35.00 and we will take orders at Orientation.

Miss J’s Summer Reading Challenge:  Some of her students have sent back one or two or all of their postcards as part of Miss J’s reading challenge, but not everyone has responded.  If you were in Miss J’s class last year, don’t forget to get to the library and pick up some chapter books to read and then send in those postcards!!!  (If you’ve lost the postcards, pick up any postcard and send it to her – remember she loves moose!)

Spring Program DVDs:  We have a single DVD that has both the Preschool/KR graduation program on it and the school students’ performance of “Once Upon a Time Shop”.  If you would like a copy, an order form is enclosed with this mailing.  Bring it in or mail it with your $5.00 payment and we will have a copy for you.
